I feel it was cheap enough. I read your thread discussing intercoolers and decided to go looking. 81 dollars and will come with the boot and t bolt clamps.

That does stink. Well, if you have seen my post on the I/C options, then you know that they are not cheap, but the aftermarket ones can make a real difference.

I do not have one, but it is on my list of things that I give to Santa every year.

I skimmed thru but may have missed. Did you look any of the cheaper aftermarket ones? I found a csf brand that is bar/plate for a reasonable price. they also make a cheaper one. I would think it is better than stock yet others are better than it?

I am assuming if the 6.0 oem fits aftermarket for the 6.0 should also work? were you looking at just 7.3 aftermarket? and or 6.0 also?

I will not be getting anything anytime soon since the sub $100 stock 6.0 option with boots/clamps fell thru.

got it! Had some help opening it lol. Just realized I could have had you ship it to swaintech for coating. Looks good. Now to wait for plenum inserts and clamps. Hopefully swap this week or next weekend

Turbo surgery. Snapped one bolt off in the old exhaust housing glad I am not using it. Had to drill out the wastegate rod eye. It would not fit the banks 1.0 housing. I also drilled a 1/2" hole in the divider to help equalize pressure when the wastegate is open.

Installed the Riffraff plenum inserts and tbolt clamps.

Map sensor stopped at 25 Something minus 14 something baro. So about 40 absolute. I thought it went higher before but that is what I saw. No leaks. Just realized I didn't hook up the ccv back up. Need to do that tonight

very slight difference on the bottom. Not bad at all. Up top pulls better.... Much better.. Same boost or a touch less but more power with less back pressure. At least according to the sotp dyno. Only drove it around enough to warm it up then about 10 minutes.

I doubt I'll be bothered by the delay down low daily driving it. Not as bad as I expected. I did notice a few more puffs of smoke here and there especially if I shifted early. Delaying a few hundred rpm made it better. I'm only talking a little bit of smoke not like it is bad but I'd prefer none. Turning at an intersection and leaving it in 3rd when I should have been in 2nd type of deal.

That's great I also have a 1.0 exhaust housing but with a 66mm compressor housing and SPX wheel, mine is laggy and throws a hell of alot more smoke than my stock 1.15 exhaust housing, but I also haven't sent my chip to get reburn for this turbo which I know it will cure this problem.
