Based on what you said the condition of your fenders and the fact you may not have the skill/desire to do a ton of work on them, looking at the pics of the glass fenders and as long as this is NOT going to be an "ORIGINAL" show truck, I would not hesitate to go with the glass. Plus you have the added benefit of possibily getting it back on the road sooner.
Let us know what you do and post pics. Have fun

Is any company making replacement "steel" front fenders? Specifically for the '52 F1. There's gotta be dies out there somewhere that someone can start re manufacturing them again, or is there just not that big of demand?

I am surprised that no one mentioned new steel from Dennis Carpenter. I have seen the new rears and we are all waiting for the new fronts. I can't speak to fit but DC has a very good reputation.

There was a thread on the new steel front fenders this spring. Pinto Plumber posted pics of them at Spring Carlisle. Mid West Early Ford had them, ready for sale later this year. Call them. I am sure DC gas them too, perhaps Carpenter is making them.

If fiberglass is your choice, Terry's F-100 parts makes better fiberglass than anyone else!

My truck had the original steel fenders with at least a gallon of bondo completely covering un repaired rust and the seams. They were too far gone for my skill set so I bought Bebops fiberglass fenders. I had no trouble with the fit but you do have to drill all the holes. They are smooth and paint easily, I really didn't have any complaints. The way these trucks were designed the seams were always going to rust. Not a worry with fiberglass.
