Evening all,

I have found a very nice van. Absolutely no rust at all. Body is straight with no dents . Interior is very nice up front. Rear inside is not banged up at all. It was a fleet van with all service records included. 2 new tires. Other 2 have half life. Engine just serviced with rotella and new fuel and oil filters. 240K on the odometer. Engine has no leaks neither does tranny. Drives straight and true. Everything seems to check out. He wants 5K for the van. I know this is crazy, but KBB says 2200 for a private party sale. Is this guy in the ball park for what hes asking? Not sure how to judge a diesel for sale by private party. I know the 7.3 is a valuable motor, but this valuable?

Please, any input would be great as I do not want to let this get away if its a good deal, but by the same token, I do not want to get rolled either.

2200 seems absurdly low. If I needed a 15 passenger van, I'd jump on this one if it checked out mechanically.
