Had a nasty fire last night in my area Neil. Scrap pile down at the old steel mill went up. They were still putting out hot spots this morning. City fireboat and a tanker strike team had to be called in to help provide water. Looks like the hydrants they did use as well caused a 12 inch water main to let go this morning.

I hate industrial fires because you never really know what is in the buildings. More than likely the water main was getting close to its last leg and the amount of water that was flowed to put the fire out popped it. Another scenario is that the main has not been maintained and just popped from being used.

This was just a pile of debris that was waiting to be gone through from demolition of the mill. And the main was old.

Personally if it was just a debris pile and was not causing harm to other buildings, let it burn On the other hand, it would be causing poor air quality so I can see putting it out.

Not bad. I worked too hard on the deck again and then mowed. I didn't get this tired when I was working! Hope to make up for it tomorrow. Big breakfast then breakfast nap! My all time favorite.

I had a busy day at the office, but it was slower than yesterday which I am happy for. Had a follow-up appointment with my orthopedic this afternoon.

Pretty good. He cleaned up the area around the wound to help stimulate it to continue healing. It is a slow process for sure.
