I just got a 04 explorer and my 4x4 high light was flashing as other has discussed... I watched a few videos and found out that it was in fact the ground wire on the transfer case had come disconnected. So I hooked it back up and it stopped flashing and stayed solid for about 5 minutes, I then drove the car and the 4x4 light went off, but I now have no control over it, I push the buttons for high and low and nothing changes.... any advice for what I should try now? Is it stuck in 4x4 auto? Keep in mind this is not the original transmission either... maybe something was not hooked up properly? I was thinking maybe the motor that is used to engage it is bad? Any info would be great. Thanks
