My truck went in for sunroof replacement today

Ill report back when I get the truck back, should be by end of day Friday. The service rep stated pictures were sent to ford and ford stated the is a divot in the glass preventing the sunroof from sealing at the rear of the glass.

I got my truck back from the dealer Thursday afternoon. We had quite the storm early Friday morning. I think the sunroof replacement solved my water leak. The sunroof fits a bit better in the roof opening and there were no water puddles in my husky floor mats this morning. The amount of rain we had this morning would have shown a water leak before the sunroof replacement in my past experiences.

Sorry for the late reply, been super busy at work this week.

Thats good to hear it seems like your problem is solved. I am still waiting to bring my truck into the dealer, ill have to mention your story as well. Just out of curiosity, do you know what your trucks build date was? Its on the VIN tag sticker when you open the drivers door

Same build Month and year as my Truck. I never open my Roof, and here in FLA. we get heavy Rains almost every Day, so far, it has not leaked. I would have preferred to not have the Moonroof, but it came with the Ultimate Package.

Does anyone have a list of TSBs or know where i can find them? I was told there is a TSB regarding the sunroof glass, but i cant find it anywhere. I've gotten nowhere with Ford or the dealer i bought it from so far

Miles,
There is a TSB search tool here on FTE.

Here is the link that I have.

https://www.ford-trucks.com/tsbs/?tsbmake=FORD

Hope this helps.

Well this sucks the link keeps going round in circles for me.
I'll see if I can find out why this is not working or a better link to the TSBs for you.

Here is one way to get the TBS but Ford wants $21.95 for 72 Hrs.

I have gotten nowhere between trying to communicate with the texas dealer, overtime at work, and what not.

Today i finally decided to look into it, and got a can of the compressed air and sprayed it in the sunroof drains. The drivers appears to be clear, the passenger shot a bunch of water out and it doesnt really seem like it cleared up. I couldnt see exactly where the rear drains were

The dealer in texas simply told me to just trade it in...so that was helpful. I haven't found any replacement trucks that fit my specifications

I know this may sound crazy, but if you don't use the sunroof, seal it up with silicone, you will know for sure if that was your leak

It just looks like it isn't pushing all the way up at the rear to me. I had my sunroof replaced because the track actually broke. I heard it snap when I opened it one day and was lucky to get it closed back up. They replaced it and it leaked after they replaced it. I took it back in, they adjusted it and it hasn't leaked since then. I open my sunroof almost every day.

If you really think the truck was damaged and repaired, why don't you just take some precise measurements or make a cardboard template of the curvature of your roof line and sunroof opening and compare it with your buddies truck. If they are the same you can at least not worry about that anymore and focus on adjusting the sunroof. If yours is grossly different that might make getting rid of the truck an easier decision.
