New To Me 2000 7.3

Hi I just bought another 2000 7.3 and it has some kind of air filter kit assembly that I do not recognize or find a name on. I would like to just convert back to the original ford air filter assembly. Need the housing all the way to the metal intake. I cannot find a 7.3 in any of the local used parts yards. Does anybody know of any place that has any 7.3 they are parting out?

Why would you want the stock assembly? If you look in the forums regarding mods you can do to increase MPG and HP, etc, you will see various pictures of intakes that are modified to stop flow restrictions. This might also help you determine if you actually have a nice filtration system, or if you want to upgrade it from factory.

Mine came with the AIS Ford Extreme duty...that filter compared to stock is an eye opener. I also did the zoodad mod before I knew it had a name. Lol

I'll add to this since you don't know. The stock filter box is known to leak. It does not like to seal the way it should which has cause a lot of good turbo wheels to go bad.
The most common and cheapest air upgrade is a 6637 filter from napa
