Front hub won't turn

I have a 77 f250 with factory hubs, my problem is that my driver's side hub will not turn. My passenger side hub turns freely, any help would greatly be appreciated.

Sometimes if the hub is loaded it will resist. Try moving the truck, park on a flat spot and set the parking brake with transmission in N. Try again.

If is is still stuck, best to pull the hub. The outer part comes off easily with the correct Allen wrench. A factory service manual helps a lot in disassembling the insides. There are a number of parts but with step by step from the manual, not too hard to do. Clean, inspect, grease and re-assemble.

On mine, I considered a set of new hubs for simplicity... then learned the factory hubs are actually much stronger than the replacements. A little bit of cleaning and greasing and my originals are happy.

Exactly what was said. When was the last time (in years and miles) that the hubs were pulled and serviced, as well as the wheel bearings?
With yours being a '77, are these the big "external" lockouts, with sculpted outer rings with hex bolts? Or are they the later smaller "internal" lockouts with the small, recessed Allen head cap screws?
Both would normally have the red plastic actuating **** with the "FORD" letters molded into them.

If they're aftermarket and say "WARN" or something other than Ford on them, post up a pic.
Of course, pics help anyway no matter what.

Just don't force them with pliers or other implements of destruction. That's how generations of poor red plastic ***** were destroyed on many trucks.

Good luck.
If this is the first time the wheel bearings have been re-packed and re-adjusted in awhile, having your lockout freeze up a little might have been a good thing. Acts as a reminder.
