Put GT40 heads on an otherwise stock bottom end with slightly more than stock cam like the Crane 444232. There is 300hp give or take.

Cam, gt40 heads, some cheap exhaust headers, and some big injectors. I just rebuilt my 88 f150 motor. Stock 5.0 EFI, new pistons & rings, overhaul gasket kit, comp cams 268h & matching lifters, stock heads with comp cams valve springs and performance valve grind, Bosch 19lb EV1 215cc injectors, EGR delete, flowtech exhaust headers and a IAC valve idle adjuster plate to combat a rough idle. Having a M5OD tranny on mine is going to be a problem in the future but it will do for now. I wish I would have found a 351W to rebuild and bought a NON EFI truck.
