52 F1 rear springs

Take a gander at these photos of the rear springs, wondering if they are worth taking apart and restoring or if should be looking at replacements. One eye bushing failed and egged it out. Thinking that once I press in new bushings I am going to have a gap around part of it.

I'd say the eye on that one is all done. There is no practical way to repair it so that it will hold a bushing again. If they are in otherwise good condition, one of the aftermarket sources may be able to supply a pair of reproduction main leaves to replace the damaged one. It would be a lot less expensive than complete replacement springs.

Thanks Blueoval. We decided today that we would go new original springs, biting the bullet. We haven't cut any corners yet and it's too early in the build for that.
