the timing is working after you plug in the spout. if it runs better when you unplug the maf it seems its in limp mode.

do you have a wideband or access to one. theres no vacuum to the map/bap sensor right and where the vacuum hose was is open.

There is no map sensor this was a factory 302 mass air flow truck that I adapted the harness to the 460 that I put in. I've gotten several codes including 116, 998, and 412 . the 998 hard fail code seem to go away after I plug the mass air flow sensor back in but what Brian at fiveology racing and I are thinking is that either the mass airflow sensor may be good enough to have run the 302 but not have the parameters anymore to run the big block or vice versa with the ECU

Also from what I've been told the way you calibrate the mass airflow sensor for larger injectors is by simply buying a larger mass air flow housing with the calibration built into it. Is this true or is that something that has to be changed in the ECU?

No they change the sampling tube and that scales the MAF output up or down which sorta/kinda matches it with different injectors.

Speaking of sampling tube I think I just found my problem if what I'm reading is right they sent me a sampling to calibrated for 48 lb injectors versus 24-pound injectors

check with Brian on that. that might be what's needed to get it to run right for what you have.

a tuner would be the best way to handle this but you can make it work the way its being done. it might take a another change of the maf tube to get it right. keep at it.

and this is where a wideband would come in handy to tell you if its right or not.
