FTE newb from Texas
Howdy from the Texas Hill Country. I couldn't figure out how to add a signature so that will be my first question... where is this option?
Next, I have owned a bunch of F series trucks and even a 93 Ranger. Had an 88 F (150?), the a 92 F150, a 95 F150, a 2013 F150 and now a 1996 F250 Crew Cab 81" bed 460/automatic. I bought the current gas hog to pull trailers. I have a gooseneck and 5th wheel adapter (Andersen Ultimate).
I sold the 2013 F150 as it couldn't pull a skate board behind it (base 3.7L/automatic) and to get rid of the payment as my missus just retired.
The F250 is high mileage but I have fixed most of the things that needed fixing: new windshield, new brakes, new shocks, new top end gaskets, new vacuum lines and vacuum switches, previoius owner put a new compressor and radiator on, new 10 plys, flushed transmission completely and refilled, etc. Truck runs great except for some fueling issues which I will likely ask about. I have read a ton and the different answers have left me more confused than I normally am.
Anyway, this forum has been a good source of info and look forward to taking part. I am no much of a truck mechanic but I am a vintage motorcycle mechanic and may spot things I can say something half intelligent about. Thanks for reading! wg
