Truck bed replacement
Just curious how difficult it is to swap truck beds on a super duty. My 04 is rusted out enough that it has dropped down towards the cab.
There's a gentleman on CL that sells beds that he has brought up from the south so I can get a replacement bed.
I assume I'd be best to buy a bolt kit off eBay to make life easier.
Any other advice?
Thanks!

It is pretty much as it appears. Disconnect fuel filler and all wiring. Cut off bed bolts, lift away.
Don't fuss with trying to remove and reuse the bed bolts. It will only frustrate you and break Tork bits.

Is there a simple wire disconnect or do I need to undo each of the tail lights and fish them back?

It's simple! You unplug a single connection on the bottom of the old bed, remove the taillights, then reverse the order w once the new bed is on.

Im northwest of Milwaukee. I haven't called the guy yet but I'm guessing around $1000. He had some mediocre ones for $750. My truck has almost 300000 miles on it so I don't need anything too nice.
