I ordered my 2017 Super Duty F-250 XLT on 6/23/2017.
I began this journey first by looking at the Toyotas (Tacoma) as I had owned one in 2002. I didn't like what I was seeing option wise and I felt like I was settling. So I decided to research full sized trucks. My dad is a GM/Chevy guy and most of the people I know own Chevy's and I wanted to be different. I really liked the Dodge Rebel's look and stance but I didn't want to pay over 50 grand for a truck at this point in my life.

One day while I was walking out of the grocery store I saw a retired couple in this gigantic truck that just bought my eye, Ford Super Duty. I said "ok, let me research that". I liked the user friendly was page, I liked the ease of building then tearing down options for my truck.

My boss has a Lariat. So, one day at work I asked him how he liked his truck. He said that he is a ford guy and he loves his truck AND, he knows a fleet manager at a local Ford dealer. I researched on line, watched a lot of Fast Lane Truck videos, and read a bunch of threads on this forum and on 6/23/2017 I ordered a:

33 days estimated delivery

Welcome to the forum, congrats on the order.
I also am waiting delivery, 150 Lariat Scab, ordered 5/25/17, Ford just built it on 7/24/17.

I had GM trucks but the rusting go to be too much . Both under 90K and were so bad the dealer refused to put them on his lift and told me not to drive it . I found a 2017 Race Red single cab F-250 that just called to me when I saw it . I began to notice that the people who used their trucks for work have Fords or a few Dodges,those who drive to work with an empty bed drive GM . Only 2 mods I have done..1) bought on EBay a Ford "Police Interceptor" badge and installed it on the left rear tailgate..2) I'm replacing the factory horns a genuine 1920's Ford Truck Klaxon horn that my grandfather used on his logging truck .

I’m contemplating a rear level mod. Been reading the leveled thread by “Hackenbush”, and a Fox shock replacement. EpicCowlick posted a good video. “Giant Futon” posted a good thread and YouTube videos as well.

8/24/17 to 8/15/17..

Production ended 8/6/17

Awaiting shipment 8/7/17

 

8/24 to 8/15 to 8/18.................est. delivery date as of today - 8/11 !!
