2013 F 250 super duty coil spring options
Hello, I currently own a 2013 f 250 super crew. It has the front coil springs for a snow plow 5310-acc. The truck currently sits level. When I hook up the trailer or put a load in the back it squats. I know ford offers various options as far as front coils springs go. However I can't find any dimensions on any of them. Does anybody know if I put a lighter duty spring on will it lower the front end? I don't want to raise the back at all as it is it barely fits in the garage. I know there are various load helper options out there, to prevent it from squatting. I would really like to just lower the front end if possible. Thanks in advance for the help.

The springs are nominally the same length, they have different spring rates which controls how much they compress under load.
You are better off putting air bags in the rear to regain the rear drop under load. This way when empty, you can lower the air prezsure and keep the same ride, vs rear helper springs.
The RAS, roadmaster avtive suspension is another alternative, we use on our excursions.

What you must do is add a heavy deer bumper to lower the front end. About the best thing you can do is modify the rear suspension to keep the truck level when loaded. I don't think you're going to make enough difference in height by changing the front springs to make it worth your while. I have just the camper package on my '13 and I only have an inch of rake, which basically looks level to the naked eye. I can only put about 500lbs in the back before the truck starts looking like it's sagging.

I did the air bags on mine and love them. I pull a 5th wheel and I just air them up and presto the sag is gone. It is also good if your truck sags than your trailer isnt level ether which isnt good for the trailer as they are designed to be towed level. I recommend the on-board compressor to fill the bags. Much better than dragging out a little compressor from under the seat every time. I did that and what a pain. Now I just hit the switch and less than 2 minuets I have 60# in the bags and ready to tow.
