I have a 88 F350 dually Centurion crew cab 4x4 7.5L, 460 EFI, with tfi ignition. The engine was rebuild with a HP cam, flat top pistions, and bored .040. Does anyone know what HP this might be rated at? The only book I have says N.A. for the HP rate. MY reason for wanting to know is I have a bad #6 injector, and I may replace all injectors if I knew what injectors to use. It has 24 lb. OEM injectors in it now. Thank You in advance!

 

Stock EFI460 ratings for '88 were 230(net) horsepower@3,600rpm, and 390 lbs.ft. of torque@2,200rpm.What power your 460 is making now depends on what condition the engine is in, and what your non-stock cam specs are.

 

Thank You, DeGideo, you answered my question, the 24lb. injectors will do nicely. I pulled out the bad injector and found a broken tip, just a touch and it fell off, may have been broken on installation. The engine has approx. 4,000 miles on it, and the rough idle it had, drove the former owner nuts. He ran out of enthuasiam and money restoring the truck and wanted to recoupe some of his money.
