Thumbs up

Thanks for the subwoofer suggestion. I may also look into better speakers in the doors.

Yeah, I do like the many illuminated switches and controls... I just want more!

I agree that Ford has done a great NVH job on this truck. Despite my nits, it really is a pleasure to drive, especially compared to our old MY2000 F250!

Thx,
Jim / crewzer

I just priced the diesel version from a dealer, so I would think it's possible.

Only reason I got a XLT was because of the color I wanted. Otherwise I would of got a XL. Heated seats are a $499 add on installed. I think the only regret I have is I should of gotten the gooseneck prep not that I need it now but maybe down the road. I have no use of bells and whistles.

I think they are $750 on Ford-parts.com, which is why I went the pick your parts route.

$825 shipped to my door was the price I got. I'm going to check with a couple local dealers and of course salvage yards.

Thank you Tricon and rednck21. Finding one in a salvage yard is definitely ideal, but not sure how many gassers there are out there so I just wanted to get a good idea.

I've waiting to hear back from an on-line discount OEM seller. Let me see what kind of deal he will give us. Maybe he would do a group sale? How many people are interested in changing out the center display?

When shopping for my truck, I did the "Build Your Own" thing online, and was fortunate to find the exact XLT 350 I wanted at a dealer about 70 miles away. The only thing I wish I had is a tail-gate step. Age and 'souvenirs' from SE Asia are catching up with me.

I'm interested, but not yet fully committed (let it go... ). I have a gas F350 XLT.

Thanks,
Jim / crewzer

HTH,
Jim / crewzer
Definitely an important detail! There's also multiple part numbers for the seemingly same clusters. Diesel had a couple part numbers and I'm assuming it's the same for the gassers. I couldn't find any differences between them, other than the tach numbers for the diesel.

As far as functionality, the only reason I wanted the 8" IPC was that I wanted to see my tranny and coolant temp all the time on the same display for towing purposes. Other than that, I can't think of anything the 8" display does that the 4" doesn't, except look purdy

With forscan, you can show how full the dpf is. They also show the percentage of your oil life, which my xlt now does not. Seems like there's more advantages, but those were a couple I can think of off hand.
