FORD F250 6.2 LIFTERS KNOCKING
I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAS HAD A CLICKING AND KNOCKING LIFTERS
I DID AN TUNE UP AND CHANGED THE CADILLAC CONVERTERS AND KNOW IT SOUNDS WORSE THAN A DIESEL ENGINE IT DOES NOT EFFECT THE POWER AND THE WAY IT RUNS ..BUT I PURCHASED SPARK PLUGS FROM NAPA AND A WIRE SET , THEY ARE NOT MOTORCRAFT.....
THE ENGINE DID NOT SOUND LIKE THIS UNTIL ALL OF THE WORK IS DONE...
ANY IDEAS WHAT WOULD CAUSE THIS.....

I can't see how changing the cats would make noise bit if you used the wrong plugs that could be a problem. Did you also change the boots for the top plugs or just the wires for the bottom plugs. My first question should be did you change all 16 (to per cylinder) If you just changed the bottom plugs and they are to long you will get noise I'm sure but still run on the top ones.

Are you sure they are all torqued to spec? A loose plug will make a knocking sound. Years ago I took my 89 Aerostar to dealer for a tune up due to the plugs being so difficult to change. A few weeks later the powertrain warranty expired and it developed a knock. One loose spark plug. I should have done the job myself.
