1954 F100 with "Assigned ID Number"

Today we purchased a 1954 f100 and we are trying to learn the original paint color and the location of the factory where it was made. The Assigned ID Number does not yield any information when entered into the online VIN tools or when googled. Is there a different way to get the information? Thanks!

Sweet truck!
If it still has the whole original frame under it, there will be a stamped OE serial number on top of the left frame rail forward of the steering box. Have also found them on top of the front X member. If the frame has been clipped, you may be SOL

You mean the right frame rail.

This is obvious but bears mentioning: 53 to 55 Ford trucks had the data plate screwed into the inside of the glove box lid. But beware as the lid could have been changed and or the data plate could have been changed.
