upgrade to turn signal door mirrors
i have a 2005 ford expedition xlt with the regular power mirrors with only the puddle lamp but i want to upgrade to the turn signal heated mirrors how would i do this and can this be done... i read that some people said to tap into the turn signal in the rear but how would i do this and what parts do i need and guy at part store said this could cause electrical problems with the truck down the road is this true? I also read that some people said to change a pin and run wires into the connector also how would i do this out of the 2 options what is the easiest to do? the wire harness i have on now only has like 5 or so wires but the new mirror with turn signal has like 10 or so wires.
this is what i have on now http://prntscr.com/fw5ynx
this is what i want to put on truck http://prntscr.com/fw5yxp
any help would be very much appreciated

Here are the diagram you need. In the 2005 Mirror Heat diagram on connector 270j at the fuse box you can see that pin 1 is the output running to the rear window defroster. The connector pinout is on page 2. So tap into that wire with two wires and run one to each mirror. You'll also have to pick up a ground along the way.
For the turn signals look at the file 2005 Mirror Turn Signal and you'll see the easy place to tap into the turn signal wires is at the instrument cluster. If you remove the cluster and access connector 220b pins 8 (LT) and 10 (RT) you can run a wire from those to the mirrors. The pinout for connector 220b is on page 3.

Ok so what wire do I need to buy to use for tapping into and what other supplies do I need for completing this task also how hard is it to do this task and would it cause electrical.problems with the car if I start splicing wires? And what wire would I splice into do I splice the wire harness that comes out the door where the plug is? I wish there was a video or.pictures to give me an.idea of how to do it on a expedition

Single stranded wire 18 AWG should do it.
You'll need a soldering iron, solder and electrical tape if you want the splices to be trouble free forever. If not use tap connectors like these.
Gardner Bender 22-10 AWG Assorted Tap Splice Kit (Case of 4)-TK-QC - The Home Depot
These new wires you're running will have to be fished through the flexible wire holder in the door jamb hinge area. When running wires from side to side, there is a long oval shaped panel on top of the dash that lifts off for easier access to behind the dash.

i know this is kind of a stupid question but what is the picture with all squares and lines running to it a diagram of is that suppose to be the different wire harnesses? where is that located in the car? and am i suppose to be tapping into the wire harness of the mirror or just running a new wire and hooking it to the plug?
