I have searched high and low for this here, can't find the info I need, please help
I have a 1987 F250 4x4 with a 4 speed Manual, I believe its a t18 or 19. It has a length of 25 inches from the front of the bell housing to the mounting flange for the transfer case. From what I see the c6 has a 20" length. Must I move the crossmemeber and shorten/lengthen the driveshafts? Is there a spacer? Or is it a direct swap and I have all the wrong Ideas?
Most you'll need the crossmember and you should have to shorten your drive shafts, Because most Auto's are longer then manaul trannys or the ones I swapped has been. The edasiest way I'd do it is by tryin to find a Truck like yours the rob everything from. That way ya can get Crossmember, shafts and any other part ya might need. That swap is much easier then going from auto to manaul
