You'll probably get as many opinions on this as Carter has (had) liver pills. I do not like Dorman and only use their stuff when in a bind or when quality doesn't matter to me. Have you checked your local parts yard? And is there any chance that a starter, generator, motor repair shop could fix the old one?

Thinking all the salvage yards aren't far from the condition of mine.
Guess I can look around though

Eeeehhhhh, reports of those failing are few and far between and after you get a price off of them you can decide if you think it's worth it. Again, does anyone know if they can be repaired cheaply?

Fixed

Ok update on my esof drama.

It's fixed with a $6 relay from O'Reilly's.

One relay controls going in to 4x4 other controls going out.

One of mine was bad. I was able to swap the relays in order to use esof til I replaced bad relay.

Cheap fix! Did you try the relays first because they were easy to swap out and cheap if they were the problem? Or, did you have a clue that led you to the relays?

I have Ford Diesel mechanic local that a few of us use at his house for repairs.
Texted him when mine wouldn't go out of low the other day. Day before I tow TT to the beach. LOL

After checking connection at t-shirt first.
He said just pop the hood and swap relays. He told me about a relay for each on/off.

Grabbed relay in route to beach on a lunch stop.
Just installed since pulling home in the morning.

Bad slope up incline to park camper at home in the yard I need low range for. Have to build ramps to clear my stabilized Jack's on TT.
