Heated and cooled seats in a 1996?

I'm looking to put 2016 f250 heated and cooled seats in my 1996 f250. Is it as easy as wiring a hot and ground to them or does it require more to get the heated and cooled to work? I'm trying to figure out if it can be done before I go spend a pretty penny on these options seats.....

What're they cooled by? I'd imagine the cooling feature works by funneling the air conditioning of the truck through vents and then into the seat but I've never owned anything that fancy so I'm just guessing.

i guess they could have a peltier cooler too but once again I'm guessing.

Figure out how the seats work and go from there.

I always thought air conditioned seats ran freon through them but I've never had anything with them to see

they could use those special resistor setups like mini refrigerators use. When voltage is sent through them it cools ones side while heat is expelled through a heat sink on the other.

Heated seats are just glorified defroster grids.

Yup you guys are right, fans to divert air conditioned air through a semi breathable seat. So it should just be electric wiring to the switches but I don't know how well the ac would work if there isn't a vent to pull from under the seat

I picked up the seats today and noticed it just has a fan so now I'm wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for 2016 f250 power heated and cooled seats.

I was amazed to find out that my buddies duramax was "vented" seats. No AC, just air being blown. It felt cold however. but upon looking it up, it seemed it was just regular air. show us some pics of the build. My truck is in need of a new seat. Sitting on a pillow is getting old.
