I've been wanting to do a thread like this for awhile now. I know we have the "What did you do to your Ex" thread that has doubled as our general conversation thread, but I've been wanting to have a dedicated thread where we can talk all things OT (off topic), with the exception of politics and religion.

Up to now, off-topic stuff we talked about was limited to the "What..." thread, but that also includes Ex stuff and general tech stuff. Also, this thread will keep other OT threads from being moved from this forum to GNAC (General Non-Automotive Conversation).

Take a vacation? Wanna share pics? Here ya go!

Have a problem with your house that you fixed and are kinda proud of the accomplishment and wanna share? Here ya go!

Got a cool hobby and wanna talk and share? Here ya go!

So when WE want to start a thread that barely fits the forum guidelines, it gets killed mob-style, in a dark alley with a bag over its head, and we have to read a small paragraph about why it's getting closed

But when a SuperMod wants to start an off topic thread it's totally ok and free reign. I see how it is. Dic-ktator is right, lol

 

Actually, threads that barely fit the guidelines for posting in a tech forum usually get moved to the "What did you do to your Ex" thread, and that's part of the reason why I decided to start this thread.

Threads that don't fit the forum guidelines get moved to another forum where it does fit. It's done in the open and not killed with a bag over its head in a dark alley.

Only threads with trollasaurus rex memes and references to waterboarding with windshield washer squirters and mooseknuckling with USCG_PA's bumper get taken out back and fitted with "concrete galoshes."
