Yeah, I would be finding a reman, my luck is a snap ring or spring would show up somewhere on the workbench after I have it back in the truck.

Well I got home late Friday night, my plow is now on my 04 F350 I'm going to use it to plow the rest of the season and have new headgaskets installed in the 91' F250.

Man I'm spoiled plowing with this new 1 ton! Love it!

When I was about 19, the turbo 350 in my 80 chevy took a dump and I didn't have the money to have a shop rebuild it. I bought a manual and a rebuild kit and did it myself. I also found an extra part or two on the bench after getting it reassembled. The good side was, I got pretty good at taking it all back apart and reassembling it..... since I had to do it several times. The bad side was, it never shifted reliably when I was done with it. In the end I sold the truck to a guy I worked with.... 'as is'.

I sure did want to keep the seat out of that truck for the memories though........

said truck :

Nothing like a bench seat.... If my Chevelle could talk, well we won't go there.

Trucks of that era were by far the best of the vehicles made back then. I like the look of that one, sometimes I am stuck in 1980 when I was 19.

Did anyone happen to see these retro look trucks some dealer is putting together for customers? Wonder how it would look on a new Ford.

We miss you Jon, hope to see you on the 6.8l team again.

I paid 11k for the truck and have put another 5k or so into it in the last 6-8 months with nothing to show for it besides a new love for my 6.8 Excursion. I love this truck to death, but I can't afford to pull the cab to have the motor swapped.

Sometimes a vehicle is sold for a reason, happens to diesels and gassers.

And for those folk who knowingly unload a nearly broken vehicle on a poor sap, exists a special place in the afterlife.

No one ever told anyone to buy a 6.0. If they did they are not your friend. :P
