We went and looked at this 64 Lincoln Continental convertible. Grandpa has wanted another Continental since he sold the 63 in 2011 and always wanted a convertible. So pending a buyers inspection with our shop this one may be added to the stable of old cars. Brand new top and top parts (super complicated system) big sound system. Looks to be a sound car no more then some light rust in the normal spots but floors are solid as are the quarters.

I'm no fan of the wheels, those would be changed out for 15s with wide whites and stock hub caps lol

We'll see but here's some photos.

What's one of those worth nowadays?

I believe the show Entourage played a big role in the prices of those going way up

I don't like the modern wheels on the old cars either. Looks pretty good in the pics.

I'm sooooooo excited about the upcoming Browns season!

No YouTube for us Not so much a collection as a group of old cars that just have a ton of sentimental value to the family. We've had them for 20+ years and they are fun.

The inspection didn't go as expected, looks like we'll take a pass on this one. It has some issues and he won't budge on price. When you have 3 other money pits it doesn't make a lot of sense to add a 4th with no where to store it for winter...

If it wasn't a money pit, it wouldn't be for sale. I hope we're not counting your Fords as $pits.

No, no, just talking about the classic cars. They always need something ya know? Last year is was a 13k paint job on the 69 Cougar the Oldsmobile needs a new convertible top in the next year and new tires in a few years too..just stuff like that. But when the newest one is a 1972 and oldest a 1956 they will always need some refreshing.

My stable of daily drivers are the last thing I'd call money pits, mostly gas and oil changes.

Sounds like a real scorcher of a weekend Russ!
Currently it's 2AM here in Philly and 74 degrees and of course it actually gets dark here at night too!

Air quality in Seattle is super bad from Canada wildfires. Feels like Suzhou according to a bunch of my coworkers who travel to China a lot. Can't see very far, which is weird because I can usually see Mt Rainier from Snohomish.

Also picked up a new dirt tire for my CR. Getting the itch for some riding, so I might hit up an MX track in my area on a practice day and give it a go. Been a dune rider most my life, so organized travel on dirt will be a new experience lol.

Speaking of riding, I have an enduro tomorrow. I haven't ridden in a month, so it is a good thing this event is nearly 70 miles so I have plenty of time to work out the kinks
