So when are they hitting the dealers? Yours is December. I thought they were supposed to start shipping in October. I'd like to get one but I have a feeling the dealers will hawk the first ones out at MSRP or better. Nice color choice on yours!

The expys will start being built at the end of september(9/25) and the dealer told me since mine is a 2wd, itll probably arrive later than others due to the area(delaware). When they arrive, possibly early november, the dealer told me they wpuld notify me. That way we can definitely try them out to see what improvements ford made to them. We already kno of some of the improvements were gonna be looking for so im hoping ford doesnt let us down.

I ordered my 15 platinum about this time and to be honest, I wouldn't buy another sight unseen new model year expedition. If I would have had time to really look, touch, feel, drive, listen, I wouldn't have bought it. And I don't want the first of anything off the assembly line.

I ordered a 2017 Expedition KR in Feb 2017 and I got it in late Jun 17. I did not want a sunroof and I wanted the 2d row seating (as opposed to two bucket seat). We could not find one within the US, so I ordered it--this thing is amazing. And yes, I took a peek at the 2018, and did not like the restyling.

The suv i ordered but in blk, reg length, and in 2wd. The truck on display looks like the 301a limited with the special edition package which oncludes tow pkg, cargo management and the dvd system is added.

I was waiting to order a new GT500 along with a 2018 Platinum Expedition to replace my 2015 Platinum, but the GT500s still have not been announced. I'll probably order the Expedition soon. Good luck on yours....

I found it....thanks

For me really no changes when ordering a Platinum model. HD tow w/ E locker is an option, 2 row captains chairs (which I always get) and DVD headrest (which I never get).

Build & price if that helps

http://shop.ford.com/build/expedition/2018/?intcmp=vhp-bbatt#/select/

If you get a 4x4, the standard transfer case has only 2WD high and 4x4 Auto (AWD without the torque vectoring) and 3.31 axles. You need to get the heavy duty towing package or FX4 package to get 4x4 high, 4x4 low and it also comes with a 3.73 axle ratio.

The dvd system is neat and has very many features, but with wi fi being std, i cant justify the 2k uptick in price.even with a lot of kids, they most likely have a tablet, or phone. We barely use the dvd system in our navi so i no dvd for me
