Kyle's Craigslist Find - Look @ The Back Glass!

Back when I had my '08 F-250 I had a topper on it. '08 must have been one of the earlier years where Ford used a tailgate that was massively thick in the middle. Looking down on the top of the gate (with the gate closed) the back edge was pretty strongly curved. That's the surface that the topper lift gate "seals" against. In order to latch the lift gate on the topper I had to flex both corners forward about an inch. I'm pretty sure that was glass as well, and it didn't seem like a good idea to me, but the place I bought the topper assured me that this was the way it's supposed to work now. And in the ~10 months that I owned that truck I didn't break that window, so it did work better than I'd have expected. (By the way, this is one of the many smaller reasons I never see myself buying a Ford truck made after '96/'97.)

I'm sure everyone already knows this - as smart as FTE members are ... but glass is not a "solid". https://www.scientificamerican.com/a...-glass-liquid/
It just moves a lot slower than us (all except Gary I suppose)
