1960 F 500 Bucket Truck
Hey all,
I just picked up a 1960 Ford F500 bucket truck. Runs and drives, but needs some work.
I'd like to swap out the single brake master cylinder for a dual.
Also wondering if front Discs was an option too, but if not, then drums it is.
Lastly, replacement wheels, as I keep reading about the widowmakers, and now I'm scared to take the damn wheels even off!
Any suggestions/help is appreciated.

For a disc setup, I'd suggest getting the whole setup off a late 80s F600, axles and all. Those were past the troublesome Wedge setup, and have disc and hydroboost. Plus, it'll still look stock from the outside.
Looks like a fairly new boom too. I'd guess it's maybe about 15 yrs old. Those were originally attached to a trailer(hence the name). I'm sure it's great for hanging lights, and tree trimming(given the rack over the cab).
