1997 F350 Supercab Side steps
Hey guys, hope you all had a decent weekend, as usual it went by way too fast.
I was curious if anyone can recommend a good set of frame mounted side steps that are somewhat budget friendly.
I find that some of the steps I have been finding come down just a few inches, and I'd like something with somewhat of a drop so it's easier for my passengers to get in.
On second thought, my rockers aren't in bad shape, just one section near the driver door hinge isn't the greatest. I'm not sure how sturdy that type can be though.

I'm running old-school extruded aluminum running boards, IIRC either 4" or 6" drop. They're made to be mounted to the cab, but I frame-mounted them with slotted angle iron, arranged in triangular gussets, plus flat stock (allowing for some flex) tied to the cab. Shoot, no pics handy; I'll have to post pics tonight.
I'm only 150 lb and my wife is 120, but I still wouldn't trust anything tied only to the cab.
