'16 F-350 DRW work truck - 1 year review

I've had the work truck for 1 year now and just giving a little update. It's been awesome! Only problem we had was an axle leak around 5k miles, but that was fixed and hasn't been a problem since. We also had to put new front tires on at 30k miles. I think they wore irregularly because the upfitter didn't do an alignment after installing the utility bed. But it's good to go now.

Averaging 9.8 mpg since I got the truck. Not bad considering the GVW is over 11,000 lbs.

And i don't regret the 6.2/4.30 combo at all. I still love driving this truck.

Sweet!

Where was the axle leak? I'm assuming at the wheel?

Yes, it was the right rear axle seal. I'm not sure why it started, I guess just a defective seal?

inner wheel bearing, or right at the axle stub so that it got lube on the wheel where you could see it on the outside?

The outer one, by the wheel. It leaked on the inside wheel.

My right rear seal leaked also (38,000mi), maybe they got a bad batch of seals.
Mine never made it to the brake shoes but i could smell it after driving

Uhh wut? Lol.

I rarely ever need 4x4. This truck stays on the pavement 99% of the time. But occasionally I'll get a job on a new construction site that can get a little iffy so I'll put it in 4 hi. But I've yet to actually need it.
