Does anyone have any knowledge of an Automatic Transmission that Ford had built for their Medium & Heavy-Duty Trucks until the early 1970's called the 'Transmatic' Transmission?
Was it just the trade name (or marketing name, as another way to put it) for the Ford FMX Automatic Transmission, or is this an entirely different Automatic Transmission?

 

No relation to the FMX car trans. Transmatics were Allisons.

There should be a tag on it, MT 30, MT 40 or some other number.
