Questions for wiring for second fuel pump..

I already have both pumps mounted and the plumbing done, except one fitting I'm waiting on that I should be getting Monday. I'm not so good with electrical so I hope someone on here might be able to help me.

Would it be ok to splice the second pump into the main fuel pump wiring? Or should I run and inline fuse from battery and just ground to frame? How does the relay work and where is it located? It's a 2000 F350

I would recommend a second relay of your own that is triggered by the factory pump power, then run a FUSED supply from the battery to your secondary pump and then ground the pump to frame.

Why two pumps?

If one fails, won't it cause a restriction if you don't have a bypass in place?

How would I get the second relay to trigger with the factory relay? And what gauge wire would I run from battery?

I have one way check vavles if one fails it won't cause drain back. I was getting slight loss of fuel pressure at WOT and had another good working pump already. Figured it would be good insurance if one does fail I still have a working one.
