Who has done the 3.5 ecoboost intercooler weep hole?

How many with the 3.5 ecoboost have had engine misfire/stumble/stutter and ended up drilling the 1/16" weep hole in the intercooler?

Is your only purpose with this thread (and plenty of other posts) only to bash Ford?

That was 2011-14 engines. 2015+ are fine.

There is no reason for the weep hole.

If any condensate forms, it is under conditions where going full throttle would be irresponsible.

Drive like an adult and no hole needed.

I know that the intercooler was made less efficient by introducing the active shutter system (block air flow) and moving the license plate to the center of front bumper. What is concerning is that there are some 17 3.5 ecoboosts that have had the shutter/misfire. They drilled the weep hole in the intercooler and the problem immediately went away.

The shutters will cause the intercooler to be less efficient, sure. However, a warmer intercooler will cause any condensate to evaporate, eliminating any issue naturally.

I think you're making a mountain out of a molehill.

And, for some reason that none of us can fathom, this guy is still allowed to post on this site.

It's like a train wreck....even though the outcome isn't going to be good, you just have to look.

You have not answered Krewat's question. Why do you want to know?

This is a Ford Trucks Enthusiasts forum, why the constant bashing?

I'm beginning to believe that 93Cobra is a schill. Anyone know what happened to the last schill we had on these boards? He was banned for life by yours truly.

Now, this thread was started as a means to bait anyone who feeds the troll.

You didn't answer Art's question nor did you respond to Stuart's comment / question. Unless you come clean right now I'm shutting it down.

No bash intended. Just looking for how people corrected the misfire issue.
