Not curiously wondering how people corrected the issue--statistically taking numbers on how many people corrected it (using a specific correction method) for your records for future trolling.

If you're going to try desperately to give Ford a bad name, at least get your story straight.

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that Cobra never seems to be offline--ever? The green dot always seems to be 'lit' next to his name; it's like he's always online.

Just leaves a browser open on the forum. That's really all it takes.

I've owned 3 problem free Ecoboosts. Thanks for being so concerned.

In my experience with this issue, the misfire is actually the traction control shutting the engine down.

Get your foot out of the gas and everything is back to normal.

What you described is actually misfire. Your CEL doesn't illuminate because the event is so quick. You can get rid of the misfire by simply drilling the weep hole in the intercooler (root cause since it makes the condensate that blows out spark on acceleration), and keep fresh motorcraft sp534 spark plugs gapped at .030 (change required every 30k miles).

You're a certified Ford Mechanic? You know exactly what happened just by the simple description and can recommend the guaranteed fix? Wow, call you Dr. Cobra and give you a stethoscope. I'm pretty sure if I asked how to fix a blank Sync screen, a nail in my tire or a tear in my leather seat you'd respond with "Drill a hole in the intercooler and change your plugs every 30k miles".

You have 260+ posts on this forum and this is only the 7th topic you've actually started. Most of your topics were looking for problems and I can't think of one of your replies that didn't tell the OP "EBs are ticking time bombs; drill the weep hole and change your plugs" in one form or another. The links YOU'VE provided to other forums show you're nothing more than a troll there as well.

Honestly, if we ever met in person I'd be happy to buy you a beer. You've single handily created this little ecosystem of cross-links to other forums to talk about a few problems unique to a very limited number of EB motors. The fact that there are millions of these engines across multiple platforms and generations completely escapes you. If you think a handful of problem EBs (of unknown treatment and performance mods) posted on various forums out of millions is worthy of this crusade, well then I'm jealous of your free time.

For the record, I have almost 21,000 miles on my truck. That includes full days of city driving and 11hr sojourns at 75mph over 5,000 foot mountain passes. I've had one problem with my EB; it was in the throttle body and was fixed without drilling holes or replacing plugs. Wow.

Mods - Enough is enough. I encourage open discussions but this dead horse is starting to stink. Nothing new is being discussed here...and Cobra killed the horse.

What I described is what I saw.
Traction control light flashing.

There was no misfire, just the engine shutting down to protect itself.

Agreed....
If he were on one of the forums I moderate, I would have given him a 10 day time out as a warning, second time around the Ban Hammer would drop...

Ban hammer instead, no time out. He was dormant for 13 years and just now came back. He didn't offer anything back in 2004 and he's causing issues now.

Go look at FRF for few minutes. See how he pisses them off over there and stirs the pot as Sasquatch77

Each forum has its own set of nuances, so no two forums are run the same, not even other IB owned forums will be the same as FTE.

I searched but couldn't find the TSB on this from Ford. So this sounds more like a 93Cobra personal TSB.

Not answering also indicates a troll.
