Have they changed stuff up or have they stayed the same? Found a period correct set of bed hooks but they are more expensive than OEM newer years.

I thought a 2x4 was supposed to fit in them. So, something close to 1.5"x3.5" actual dimensions.

 

I can tell you that you will NOT fit a 2x4 in either an OBS or SD. I made a brace for over my tailgate when hauling a lot of lumber, and I had to make a block roughly 1.5" x 2" to fit inside the stake pocket.

 

I went ahead and bought the NOS OBS set. They are the retractable hook ones. Package of 6 for $45

 

are these harbour freight/princess auto, or something better ?
i have read unsatisfied reviews on the harbour freight ones.
got a link or at least a website address ?
i am interested in the retractables because i want to have a camper on there sometimes. i considered d-rings mounted up on the bed rails (mounted on the bed floor doesnt work for me), but i am concerned that they might make a lot of racket bouncing up and down over bumps.
