2015 f150 travel trailer towing
I have a 2015 F150 4x4 supercrew. 145背heel base, 3.5 V6 TIVCT FFV engine, Elec 6-speed auto w/tow mod. I tow a Keystone Passport 30ft travel trailer that has a dry weight of 5100lb. when we are loaded up I知 sure I知 getting close to the #7100 tow limit of the truck. Towing local it does a very good job. My question is: We live in Ohio and want to do a trip to Utah. I was wondering if anyone has the same engine and has done a trip out west pulling a travel trailer in the mountains? How well did you do? Thanks for any input.

Sorry I accidentally posted in this thread. The mobile app isn't as easy to use as the desk top. For what it's worth we towed my brothers 26' Jayco with 4.6L V8 through the mountains and it did just fine. I think that trailer was a 1998 & so was his truck. The 3.7 V6 seems to have comparable specs (maybe better) to the old 4.6.

The NA 3.5L will do a very good job at low elevations, but don't expect miracles when you get up in the mountains.
I have driven a bunch of under-powered trucks in my time. As long as you don't expect miracles, you may be OK. However, the high elevation performance decrease will definitely get your attention.
I'm kind of waffling here, but a lot of it is going to depend on your expectations. I think the vehicle will be OK pulling that trailer; it's well within it's weight handling capabilities. The issue is with how you expect it to pull up the higher mountain passes.
For example, when we go into the mountains with my wife's Tacoma (NA 4L V6 not pulling a trailer), it really wheezes at 7, 8, 9 thousand feet. Our 3.5L EcoBoost seems to thrive at those elevations; "almost" like it's at a lower elevation.
