Can I embed a video here? I got it uploaded to you tube. not very exciting just trying to show the gauges. edit hey it worked! 12 o clock position on egt gauge is 1000 deg.
Accelerating uphill in 3rd and 4th then grabbing 5th about 55. Pulling my gooseneck empty. 10k truck and 8k trailer. This was actually a few hours before my dipstick failure.
Popped a tire Friday night. KA fricking BOOM!!! scared the crap out of me. Shut it off then got pulled over. Was relieved when i saw the tire. Had no clue what happened. This is the tire I damaged. I was trying some valve extensions and did not like them and took them off. Did not realize the valve core was leaking and the tire went flat hauling tractors. Saw it when stopped and got it aired back up but the sidewall had been stressed pretty hard. I stopped in the shoulder and the inner dual was on pavement flat and outer was on the lowered shoulder. Aired it back up and kept rolling.
Spare steer tire to the rescue.
Tires are old and I put 26,000 miles on them since I bought the truck. Tire shop has a match with the same tread depth. Ill run that till spring then. Get a set of 4 "new" retreads. Looked at them Saturday. Pick my choice of brand of casings. Dates from 2015 and 2016. Mine are 2005 2007 2007 and 2008. Really happy with the tread pattern and life. I feel the only reason this one failed was operator error. I also want to see the Gladiator drive tire in person. I run that brand on trailers and like them.

Posting here because I can't find where I was discussing map sensor reporting limits.
Ignore some of the "undesirable readings" please. I was headed home with the car hauler and playing with different tunes trying to max out the map/boost reported by torque pro. It is labeled MAP but is MAP minus barometric so actually boost gauge pressure. I was comparing to my newly installed autometer 35 psi boost gauge. 24.9 agreed with the 25 I saw on the autometer gauge. Adding 14.4 baro to 24.9 = 39.3 map. Next time I hook up the boost leak checker I will bring pressure up slowly and see when the mechanical gauge crosses the limit of the map sensor.
I did notice the torque pro needle seemed to lag behind my mechanical gauge as boost was climbing faster then it was reporting.
