I have a 79 ford f150 and I was just wondering if a v8 Roush supercharged 5.0 would Fit because I want to swap out my old 351 engine and put something with more power and torque if this engine doesn't fit what are some options for what I'm looking for. Thanks

 

Which 5.0, Windsor or Coyote? You might get some better responses in the dent side forum.

 

Why not a 393 kit for your 351? I had a 393 stroker in my 1995 F150, and swear it had more butt than the 460 I have now.

 

A 79 F150 could be stuck with a 351M, not a 351W. Most anything is an improvement from a 351M in stock condition.

A supercharged 302 should fit fine. If it is a newer Coyote, the heater box might be in the way. Hard to believe something would be in the way with all the room under the hood, but the overhead cam engines are quite wide. The dentside (73-79) forums would definitely know more.
