Market price for '87 F250 4x4?

Toying with the idea of selling my F250 once I get the paint finished. It's 4x4 on 35" tires (fronts are getting worn) non-stock freshly built 460, regular cab long bed, zero rust, interior is in really nice shape. ZF5 transmission. New dual exhaust. Please tell me it's worth more than I paid for it when it barely ran!

Purchased with lots of mud/body rust

Here is a picture during engine install....driver side was recently painted, passenger side will soon be painted accordingly. New quarters and doors, bed rust properly fixed.

Don't roast me, but I'm thinking about selling or trading for a Suburban. I'd like a large, older SUV for pulling a trailer that I can also put child seats in. Aside from a centurion Bronco, if there are any suggestions out there, I'd love to hear them. It kills me on the inside to be considering a chebby. Not crazy about Excursions.....

Nice truck. How many miles on body/rebuilt motor? Around here in that condition, they go for about 3k-4k.

Is the engine got paperwork, or did you just put a junkyard motor in?

If no papers, its going to affect the sale price.

Personally, I think 3 is what I would ask. Its a very nice truck, but still just a 3/4 ton gasser.

The engine block and heads were professionally machined. Heads reassembled at the shop. I reassembled the engine. There are maybe 5k miles on the engine. Not sure about the body but the odometer says 86k, so lets assume 186k or 286k. 3-4 seems pretty reasonable. Sadly I paid 2800 and have put a few thousand into it but I knew I'd never get all my money back out. I've listed it on the high side for $4500 on CL just to get a feel for the market.

Same year and interior color as mine. I would take the first two grand that someone offers you.
