Hi All,
I am going to be replacing my valve cover gaskets and reading up on FTE says I should go with the rubber ones instead of the cork ones. I was checking on Rock Auto.......do you recommend Felpro or APEX ones?

 

I've used the felpro set a few times and am happy with them.

Even though they are rubber I use a thin film of silicone on each side of the gasket, it's not technically "needed" with rubber gaskets buts it's cheap insurance, especially if you have excessive blow by.

 

I use FelPro gaskets myself. No issues.

 

I've used the cork and the rubber ones. never really had problems with either, but then again, I end up f'ing around with my van so much that I usually replace them before their lifespan has typically ended.
