well you know where to ask about tools and tips and such.

Sounds like my job, restorations come in, owner claims 1 paint job. Till I find what you found, everytime!

Funny you mention woodshop. I am starting to get into wood working. When we build the house, I doing hickory floors, oak plank cabinets, either striped maple or pine interior walls, countertops will either be sweet gum or sinker oak. I have already had my sawmill operator bring his mill up and cut about 650 bf of pine for fence rails.
Everything except the sinker oak will come of the land. It will be air then kiln dried

I am a better mechanic than wood worker. Good thing your landlord is understanding.

It's looking really good. I need to work on the 79 but seem to be unable to have the time right now.

Well. . . I got her put all back together (Grill, core support, fender. . .inner fender and the bumper. Got her off the jack stands! ) So I'm feeling good, start to leave for lunch and decide to do a quick vacuum of the inside of the cab, It has the heavy duty rubber mat and I have been putting off pulling back the curtain and seeing the condition of the floor pans! Wouldn't ya know they look like no one ever pulled the mat up before and it just trapped moisture under it! Both floor pans are next!!!! When will it end? ( Just kidding. . . I new what I was getting into!) Will have to practice my welding a little more before I tackle putting those in! I will post updated photos tomorrow!

Ordered floor pans on eBay for $31 ea plus shipping

It's a never ending battle !!! Rubber mats are the worst for trapping water.

Here are the photo's of the 3g alt swap. . . I'm still not sure about the yellow wire looping back to the + terminal on alt as opposed to running it back to the battery + terminal or the pos. side of the solenoid ? Also my ALT warning light is on constant since swap. . . Is this normal? And finally squeak city so I have some shimming or adjusting to the pulley/belt set up, which I expected all of the above. May have to by a voltmeter and start checking.
