300 to 351w swap

I'm thinking of swapping from the straight 6 to 351w. The main question that arises is transmission, I want to keep a manual transmission but I need one that will handle around 675hp and 550 lbft of torque. The truck needs to be streetable, but I also want it to be fairly quick. I know the trucks heavy, I haven't decided on tire size Any help is appreciated.

Welcome to FTE.

Please tell the whole story. Vehicle, intended use, which 6 do you have, etc.

No OEM Ford manual transmission from behind any 6 is going to handle that kind of power for long.

Itll be a 92 f150 2wd, I want it to be streetable but still be fairly quick.I know the 6 trans isnt going to work, i was wondering if theres an OEM trans that'll work with the 351 or what aftermarket trans I should be looking at. If I'm not mistaken i think some if not all of the transmisions from a 302 will bolt up, correct me if I'm wrong. Not an immediate thing just trying to acquire some information. Thanks

Your HP/TQ goal is a tall order. Are you going to "back half" the truck to put the power down? You have a plan to build that motor?

As OEM in trucks, the ZF 5 speed will happily mate to the 351W and other SBF patterns like the 6. It is not a performance trans and is not rated for your target power. Shifting is good, for a truck.

Stronger truck 4 speeds like the NP435 or T18/19 are again, plenty strong but offer no OD, and except for the T19, have a very low 1st. Shifting is slow.

The '60s performance 4 speed is the Ford Top Loader, and it will bolt up with the correct scatter shield. Are you going to trust your legs to an aluminum bell with that kind of power?

Then there are these. This outfit would be able to get you all you need:

TREMEC 5 and 6 speed transmissions for Mopar, Chevy or Ford.

Hot Rods ? Muscle Cars ? Pony Cars ? TRANZILLA Magnums | RSGear

Or, for thousands less:

Super StreetFighter? Transmission; '66 & Later C6 13 1/2" Tailshaft (289, 302, 351C, 351W) - TCI® Auto

That is not a streetable power level for a 2wd pickup IMO.
