They are original. I have had the truck since 1985.

Ah OK, When I looked the first time, they looked like shiny stainless steel.
Original? Then they are still very nice brake lines.

NumberDummy, can you let me know the part number for the correct Brake Line Bracket. The one that came off the old manual gearbox does not fit back with the new P/S Gearbox. It attaches to the gearbox and the brake lines attach to it.

What a huge difference Power Steering makes. Having owned and driven this 1973 since 1985, I never imagined how great it would be with power steering.

To finish this install, the most difficult bit was removing the crankshaft bolt. The old bolt was stripped and finally was removed. The old 2-belt pulley was easily removed and the new 3-belt pulley installed. Because there is only 6" of space between the pulley and the radiator, I had to remove the radiator to pull the old pulley. But that was easy enough.

The power steering pump bolted right on to the block. The are a couple of 1/2" think washers needed to fit the pump bracket correctly. both pulleys lined up perfectly (for some reason) and all that was need was tensioning the fan/alternator belt and the new P/S belt.

The high and low pressure hoses went right on. All the fluids added and HELL YEAH! Power Steering dream realized.

Very nice work! Although it seems almost like cheating when you've got all that room to work with. Not near as much fun with a v8!
