What size wheel backspace do I need for a 56 F-100 with mustang II front suspension and disc brakes?

1. Buy the tires.

2. Set truck on jackstands at intended ride height.

3. Set the tires in the wheelwells at the desired inset/location.

4. Measure the distance from the face of the hub to where the inner mounting lip of the tire will be. That is the backspace.

5. Choose wheels.

That might get you close but still think you're guessing with that method..

Why not just make the measurements per the previously posted charts?

Helpful as ever

I think you are best to get something close that you know the dimensions of and measure from there. Getting it wrong can be very costly. Remember if you have large diameter brakes it can affect the diameter of wheel you need.
