wire or hose? Do you have 4x4?

 

I was able to check the wire today because there is no rain so far and it seems to be in tack and firm on both ends

 

The hose and yes it is 4x4

 

I read about two instances where the hubs are vacuum operated and rotting out caused the problem. I don't have a 4x4 but the lines were up by the front wheels. No idea if that is it but check that out.

So you've used 4wd in the last few days since this started. The 4wd will work with minimum vacuum. If you didn't hear any gear noise grinding when you were in 4wd you may be ok on the hub vacuum. Or you may not. Good luck
