Camera monitor keeps falling in the heat

I installed a Hopkins back up camera early last year. The original double sided tape that holds the monitor to the windshield didn't hold up long. Tried some of the gorilla double sided tape. A couple weeks max. Then I tried the 3m double sided tape. It would work a month or so. Did good all winter, but now I'm going to have to redo it for a 4th time already this year. It sticks to the glass, it's pulling loose from the plastic mount made onto the monitor. Anyone have any suggestions?

I've been using Scotch double sided Outdoor tape in my cab holding some electrical stuff for more than a year. The top of the package says 60" holds 15 lbs. The tape is red. The UPC is 0 21200 47103 2 if that helps.

At this time my only concern is what to do if I want to remove it. I think I can feed some fishing line behind it and try to cut through it, perhaps adding a mild solvent.

I had a older rig that spent it's life either parked or on the interstate. I had a GPS mount that never stayed. It also never left the truck. I used some adhesive silicone caulk one evening, and left the windows down and the truck in the shade the next two days. That mount never moved. Stayed there for 15 years.

Thanks guys. I don't think I'll have any better luck with scotch brand over the 3m. The silicone adhesive is an idea that I had considered, and with your experience, I think I will try it. If I need to remove it. I can cut through with fishing line then scrape it off.
