Hello!
I just brought home my first Ford truck--a '49 F-1. The passenger door didn't open but I was able to pop the latch from the inside. With the help of this site, I was able to take the mechanism out but it has broken. I'm wondering how it is suppose to connect (let's see if I can post a photo...)? It looks like some spot welds may have given-way but I'm not really sure. One of the retaining latches is broken but I'm wondering if I can weld back together...
