Measurement Request: 4x4 Dana 44 Bracket

I'm requesting anyone with the 4x4 Dana 44 for the F150, to take a measurement of the bracket that the driver's side half of the axle bolts to. I want to make sure mine is the correct size.

Here is mine:

I'm having a hard time telling what/where that is. Can you take a pic a bit further out?

You must have a lift? my stock one measured 7.5" from mounting to the crossmember. I also see it is bolted on, not riveted.....

Gary, did you get a chance to measure your bracket? If so, and it measured 7.5" the same as reamer, than I have some sort of 1.5" leveling kit or a 2" suspension lift.

I originally asked because my springs are sagging, but are taller than stock compressed springs.

I can't find that bracket. I have the front end apart, but laid out on the work table, and it isn't there. But, I will look again later today or tomorrow.

Why are looking at the bracket length? Do you have a camber alignment issue?

If you swapped frames, did you swap front springs with the frame - or is that the reason for your interest?

All the front end suspension parts were removed from the old frame and transferred over. I did have new rubber bushings installed. Before the frame swap the wheels had a neutral camber. Now they have a negative camber with a toe-out.

I'm asking because when I get the truck on the road I want to be able to get the alignment correct, and get the correct parts. I was never sure of what suspension parts were on the front. I assume it's a 2 inch suspension lift. But I want to know for sure.

It's a long winded explanation but it's an odd situation.

Based on "how level/parallel" your steering linage is - I'd say you will have no problems with alignment. Whatever drop bracket is installed looks to be correct for your spring setup. Steering Tech - An in-depth discussion about TTB Steering and Alignment

Yes. @9" is correct for a 2" lift, this is what I just installed in mine.

Thanks reamer. Looks like I'll be finding 2 inch springs as well.

By your original photo, You already have them, that's why the axle arms look "level"
If you had stock springs they would look like scissors....
