Great. One post with two guys that have the dreaded cam phaser issues that are not specific to the EB and and you are claiming it is. Typical. If anyone reads the thread, try to guess which forum member is 93Cobra.

Go there - there are more people with the rattle.
It is specific to the ecoboost.

The cam phasers and their issues are not specific to the Ecoboost.

The 5.4L V-8 was a dud to some and a great engine to others. Same issues and same symptoms.

If there's anything that I can't stand is someone who's cheer leading a potential issue just because he had an issue. How sad.

Correction - the 5.4 3V was a dud. Also, the 6.0 PSD was a dud. The 3.5 ecoboost has them both topped.

You are living in a fantasy world, and clearly have a bone to pick.

Fine, whatever; but if you derail another thread you'll find yourself on the working end of my proverbial boot - again.

And to the rest of ya'all ... For the love of GOD -- DON'T FEED THE TROLLS!!!

Well, I decided to trade the truck in on a 15' with the 5.0L V8. I am extremely happy with the new truck. Loved the old truck 13' and the ecoboost really outperformed the my old 05' Triton, but I didn't want to sink any more money into the truck and I was in the sweet spot for selling a used truck with under 80K in miles on it in mint condition. I traded my truck in on Friday and they had a seller all lined up for my old truck on Saturday.

Fixed it for you. The 6.4 was the last from Navistar and it is literally a throw away engine.

Yup. As the 6.0 ages people are starting to realize how damn good of an engine it actually is once you get them straightened out.

The 6.4 is good for 200k and then throw it away! Rocker arms failing at 80k, water in fuel, particulate filters, crappy mileage, etc.
